Steak 'n Shake, a classic American brand, was founded in 1934 in Normal, Illinois by Gus Belt who pioneered the concept of premium burgers and milkshakes. For over 85 years, the company's name has been symbolic of its heritage. The word "steak" stood for steakburger. The term "shake" stood for hand-dipped milkshakes. Gus was determined to serve his customers the finest burgers and shakes in the business. Today, Steak 'n Shake remains the "better burger" leader, serving premium 100% beef steakburgers, hand-dipped milkshakes, thin crispy fries, and more. Steakburgers are made without preservatives or artificial ingredients, topped with fresh produce, and always hand-crafted to order. Other classics include the Frisco Melt, 7x7, Prime Steakburgers, and fan favorite M&M milkshakes.

The food was good, but it seemed they had a lot of new help and the service was not as good as normal. One waitress spilled a whole glass of ice water on a customer. I understand that everyone is new at sometime, so I blame management for not having more of their experienced staff there to help them

Came to town on a business trip. Wouldn't get off work untill very early in the morning. Was disappointed to see this note on the door 2 days in a row so far. Google shows it's open 24hours, so does the door itself. Assuming night shift just doesn't want to work.

Disappointed ! It shows that they are open 24hours but the staff is too lazy to work! Late at night and/or at midnight they have a sign stating they are closed or they will tell you they are close when you get to the drive through!

I always just go through the drive thru.

I work as 3rd shift server. We are open 24/7. Dining room and drive thru are both open at all times unless there's an emergency. Breakfast usually starts at 7am or earlier depending on the cook. We have fully recovered since the fire 4 yrs ago. Hope to see everyone soon.
